Like L, S, and 4D mode, this driving mode is also comes in high-end luxury cars. In automatic gear shift, M means “manual” on a car. Usually m is not written on a car gear box, it shows on a MID (multi information display). Car companies place MID in a speedometer.
On automatic gear box, car companies put signs of + and -. So when someone put their car gear lever between + and – sign, car is start showing M in a MID. After shifting to this mode, car start behaving like a manual car. Basically this means, when you push gear toward to + sign, car will increase its gear (for example, if your car at a 1st gear, and you push your car’s gear lever toward the + sign, this will put your car into 2nd gear).
And when you push gear toward to – sign, car will decrease its gear (for example, if your car at a 2nd gear, and you push your car’s gear lever toward the – sign, this will put your car into 1st gear). Basically, M mode is nothing without – and + mode.
